Rabbi Curtis G. Caldwell is a proud native of Southern Pines, North Carolina. Rabbi Caldwell is a Class of 1986 graduate of Yale University Divinity School. While at Yale, he was elected President of the Yale Black Seminarians and also had the privilege to meet Nobel Peace Prize Winner South African Biship Desmond Tutu.
In recent years, Rabbi Caldwell has been involved in the Faith Based Community Economic Development Movement. He is the formaer, national, faith-based, committee member of the National Congress of Community Economic Development.

Rabbi Caldwell was the spiritual leader of First Tabernacle Philadelphia, Pa. for more than fourteen years. His current assignment is to build a multifaceted edifice in Newark, New Jersey. This facility will house a sanctuary as well as various outreach programs to benefit the community at large.
He is married to Edythe Demby Caldwell, and they have two sons Curits Matthew and Nathan Levi. Both young men are outstanding singers are members of the National Chorus of the Church of God and Saints of Christ.
